Based on all of the mounting evidence, it looks like Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima will be parting ways with Konami once development on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been completed. Not only have numerous reports supported this claim, but Konami just recently stripped away both the creator's name and Kojima Production logo from the cover of his upcoming game.

The Kojima/Konami scandal commenced on April 1st, when people poking around Konamis website realised Kojimas name had been omitted from its site. A cheeky April Fools? Maybe so, but the internet was soon awash with rumours that Kojima and Konami had fallen out. Over the last few months we have seen the saga develop, and most recently, Kojimas name, A Hideo Kojima Game has been removed from the MGS V cover, and rumoured that Kojima Productions has broken apart or to be re-branded. It will be more than likely that the situation will be revealed either just before, or just after the release of The Phantom Pain. Lets take a look at some logical and some, well mostly, outlandish theories.

Konami has removed the Kojima Productions logo and A Hideo Kojima Game gracing at the top of the covers of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The revised covers of Metal Gear Solid 5 was uploaded by Konami yesterday on their website with no reference to Kojima. This news will definitely hurt the feelings of some die-hard Kojima fans.
